I really like this time of year. I'm stuck in the house because it's dark and cold by 5:00 pm and I get to sit in my studio and do stuff. I spend the first quarter of the year planning for Lark Studio: updating my website, designing new products, planning for shows, etc. While others usually need to check out of their craftiness during January as a recovery period from the busy holiday season, I really find it's a time that I can check into mine and get some stuff done.
I'm working on busting my paper stash right now. During the annual clean up/clean out that happens at the end of every December, I realized I have a butt load of paper. Old calendars, record album liners, magazine pages, scrapbook paper - you name it and I'm sure I have at least a scrap of it in this stash. I've been working pretty deligently to get through some of it and use it up. Envelopes are being made from old calendars and cards are being made from the ephemera type items. Here's a peek at a some of the latest:
Cards made from a 1960's album liner.
Blank notecard set - yummy colors!
Tongue-in-cheek blank cards made from an old "B" word calendar.
